Meet the Author “Different but Perfect”

Tracey Martineau is a Canadian author with a deep passion for story telling that began in her childhood .  As a young g girl, she loved writing her own Choose Your Own Adenture books and mini novels. But it wasn’t until her daughter, Katrina, was born into a bi-racial marriage that Tracey realized the importance of representation in children’s books.  at the time, she couldn’t find any books where her daughter could truly see herself.

Years later, after her second child, Nat, was born and later faced scoliosis and bullying, Tracey found the courage to turn these personal challenges into something positive. She decided to write a book that would not only share her children’s experiences with racism, bullying, and acceptance but also help foster empathy in other children.

Her book, Different But Perfect, was written to honor both of her daughters, showing the beauty in our differences and highlighting the power of kindness and understanding. Tracey hopes to make a difference in how children view and treat those who look different from themselves.

Different But Perfect is more than just a children’s story. It’s a powerful message of love, acceptance, and the importance of seeing and celebrating our differences.

This is a perfect book If you're looking for a book that promotes inclusivity and kindness!
